The transport association commissioned ZEITGEMAESS to design and run its promotional event in the city centre (a football tournament for schoolchildren), the VIP theatre event ‘Herbert Knebel’s Monkey Business’ for 500 people in the depot on the evening before the main event, and the full Open Day event programme, featuring a wide variety of music and entertainment across several stages, a quad bike stunt show, lots of mobile elements and hands-on activities, a children’s programme and a museum exhibition on the company’s premises.
One particular challenge was planning the set-up and dismantling times for the
necessary logistics and stage structures on and adjacent to the depot while the transport association’s day-to-day operation continued.
Zeitgemaess was a member of the Safety and Logistics planning team right from the start. In collaboration with the client, the police, the fire brigade, the ambulance service and the public order office, the necessary logistical measures for coping with the large number of visitors to the event were agreed upon and submitted for approval.
